My award-winning sci-fi epic “Nexus” is getting an oversized hardcover omnibus release and the campaign launches at midnight tonight! Nexus is set for a major comeback. BIG Studios has announced the Nexus Deluxe Hardcover Omnibus Volume One, with a Kickstarter campaign launching tonight at midnight eastern time. The campaign will also feature exclusive 48-hour deals for early backers.
Co-created with my friend Steve Rude, Nexus quickly became a cult phenomenon in comics, with Newsarama hailing the series as "the greatest superhero comic of all time!" The story follows Nexus (a.k.a. Horatio Hellpop), a cosmic avenger wrestling with justice, morality, and the weight of his cosmic powers. Harlan Ellison, a writer well-known for his work on Star Trek, Twilight Zone, and The Outer Limits repeatedly praised the series, saying it "glows with originality" and displays "enormous intelligence and inventiveness on each page."
This new deluxe hardcover omnibus—planned as the first in a four-volume set—collects the earliest adventures of Nexus in an oversized, remastered format, matching the quality of collected editions in the Marvel and DC omnibus lines. The first volume is scheduled to ship at the end of 2025, just in time to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the series which first debuted in 1981.
Nexus earned multiple Eisner Awards and launched our storied careers. The series is renowned for its blend of cosmic action, philosophical depth, and artist Steve Rude's striking, Kirby-inspired art.
